This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our Service, and describes the rights and choices available to you.
By downloading, installing, or using Golf Aibo, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.
This policy applies to all users of the Service, including users in the European Union, the State of California, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate the Service:
- Device type and operating system version

We do not use third-party analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics) or advertising SDKs.
2.4 Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store / StoreKit 2. We do not receive, store, or process your payment card details directly. See Section 8 for more details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes, each based on a lawful basis under applicable law:
- Providing the Service: Analysing your golf swing, generating AI-powered coaching feedback, and delivering personalised audio/visual reports. (Contract / Legitimate Interest)
- Account management: Creating and maintaining your account, authenticating your identity, and managing your subscription tier. (Contract)
- Improving our models: Improving the accuracy and quality of our biomechanical AI pipeline using aggregated or de-identified data. (Legitimate Interest)
- Transactional emails: Sending account-related messages such as welcome emails, analysis completion notifications, and subscription confirmations. (Contract / Legitimate Interest)
- Security & fraud prevention: Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent transactions, abuse, security incidents, and other potentially illegal or harmful activities. (Legitimate Interest / Legal Obligation)
- Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under applicable law and responding to lawful requests. (Legal Obligation)
We do not use your data for advertising, remarketing, or sell it to third parties.
5. AI & Biomechanical Analysis
Golf Aibo uses artificial intelligence, computer vision, and biomechanical analysis technologies to process golf swing videos uploaded by users.
Uploaded videos are analysed to generate golf swing insights, motion measurements, biomechanical metrics, and personalised coaching recommendations. These analyses may include detection and measurement of body movements, posture, swing mechanics, and other performance-related characteristics.
Disclaimer: Outputs generated by our AI systems are intended for training, coaching, educational, and informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical, health, physiotherapy, or professional sports advice. Always consult a qualified professional for health-related concerns.
Where AI-generated outputs are derived from your video data, this processing is carried out on the basis of contract performance and, where applicable, your explicit consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
- Account data (name, email, biomechanical profile): Retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Swing videos and analysis results: Retained for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days, then permanently deleted unless you request earlier removal.
- Technical logs: Retained for up to 90 days for debugging and security purposes.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@golfaibo.com.
